Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament should be celebrated at the beginning of a serious illness, injury, or prior to major surgery. In addition, the elderly may be anointed if they have become notably weakened even though no serious illness is present. It may also be appropriate to anoint those enduring serious suffering related to mental health. Children may also be anointed if they have sufficient use of reason to be strengthened by this sacrament.
Please notify the Parish Office at 410-647-4884 when a parishioner is hospitalized. If you or a loved one are unable to attend Mass during the time of a serious illness and wish to receive Holy Communion, call the Parish Office to make arrangements for visits.
